In the middle of the Indian Ocean lies a small volcanic island part of the Republic of Mauritius. Rodrigues Island is one of the Mascarene islands, together with Mauritius and Reunion island. Rodrigues Island is a dramatic combination of mountains, valleys, lagoons and cave and is only 108-square-kilometre large.
